[2] S#102355. Considered three-star rarities in the Complete Guide, made from old Trenton material.

DESCRIPTION: APW - Appleton Watch Co, 18S, GF OF original Appleton Watch Co signed snap-case with movement and integrated pendant lifting out, SW-SS, impressed WE-SSD, lever escapement, 11-15J, NI damascene, s#91793. Good original triple signed example from this scarce maker.
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, near mint mvt condition overall with bright lustrous plates showing some mild FS; dial with surface scratch between 10 and 11; near mint hands; case shows light wear with visible brass in areas on bezel, small gouge at edge of front bezel, engraving visible but detail reduced, front bezel with a somewhat loose fit that stays closed but can be turned when closed, pendant portion of case with small side to side play to case body; brassy bow pivots freely, crown shows light wear; plastic crystal with some FS.

DESCRIPTION: APW - Appleton Watch Co, Appleton Wisconsin, 18S, correctly fitting silver SB outer case with GF pendant integral to lift-out mvt, SW-SS, signed WE-SSD, lever escapement, 7J, NI damascene, s#93015, a very scarce American product made from Cheshire material by the founder of the Remington Watch Co, only a few thousand produced despite the serial number ranges
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, small errors in round & flat, plates show a few MFS, good slots & settings, hardly any oxide on bright work; dial with edge chip to copper at 8, just touching chapter line; hands in good blue; model specific silver outer case must have replaced original GF outer; case shows light wear, a little tarnish, few MFS, no dents or dings; bow brassy, crown shows substantial wear, case must have been very brassy to use replacement in silver; good glass crystal; one can always silver plate the pendant, and change bow & crown for an original silver cased look

CONDITION: Mvt: Ticks rather rapidly, typically indicating the need for either pallet stone or banking adjustment, balance is out of true, plates have tiny speckle & a few scratches; dial has edge chips at 10 & 2, surface scratches on right side and repeated parallel MFS over the 2; hands not original, slightly off-scale; original case shows substantial even wear to mostly brass, few MFS, a light back dent; bow replaced, brass, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal
