DESCRIPTION: APW - Illinois, 11J, 18S, 3oz coin silver OF original box hinge case, 1903 Crescent Watch Case Co paper inside rear, fancy white and light yellow enamel SS dial with light yellow ring around hour numerals, scene of birds on a branch in center, and gold foil accents through center design and around dial perimeter, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#302887. Comes with a brown leather strap with chrome-plated base metal owl fob with "Get Wise" marking. An excellent overall piece with impressive box hinge case and with an unusual fancy dial. Illinois made significantly fewer fancy dials than most American makers and the dial of this example is particularly attractive.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, curved light rub mark to barrel bridge, some overall cloudiness and few tiny dark specks to plates; dial has few scattered hls within lower portion; excellent hands; case shows very light wear, no dents or dings, good overall engraving detail though with loss of circular line engraved to lower shoulder of rear; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
