DESCRIPTION: APW - New York Watch Co, Springfield, 3/4 plate Homer Foot model, 18S, ornate 18K C&B original HC with gold cuvette and mock crown, KWKS, WE-SSD, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#4892. Gross weight of assembled watch 92.0 dwt (143.1 g). Fossette Collection.
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent mvt condition overall, hardly any MFS; dial hl from 9 to center and another between center and seconds; hands mint except for rubbing to the minute spade; exceptional case shows little wear, few MFS, no dents or dings, complete detail; bow tight, hardly worn, stationary mock crown shows abundant wear front and back, as if someone spent hours on end holding the watch and pretending to wind it, leaving the knurling unworn above the bow cups; good glass crystal. An exceptional example.

This is one of the heaviest gold originally marked NYWCo cases we have handled, total weight of entire watch assembled is 82.6 dwt (128.5 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good poise, fine mvt condition overall, very light spotting, hardly any MFS; dial perfect; hands in mint intense blue; original heavy gauge case shows medium wear, only ET centers remaining, a few MFS, no dents, minor dings; bow tight, worn center, mock crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
