DESCRIPTION: APW - Illinois, Miller, Model 2, 15J, 18S, heavy 14K gold or better (tested, showing no fade on stone of 14K solution, fairly rapid fade on stone of 18K solution) drum style original HC with inaccurate 18K marking and marking for retailer Englehart & Son, beautiful engraving detail including an idyllic country scene to rear, front shield with initials, gold cuvette with 1885 presentation engraving, white enamel SS dial, transitional style SW-LS with retained KW arbor, gilt mvt, s#301026. Gross weight of assembled watch 95.4 dwt (148.4 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone, some scattered small haze spots, mismatched case screws; dial with two hls between 3 and 4, small mark of light hand rub to upper portion of seconds-register; nearly mint hands; case shows little wear, dent to upper-right perimeter of front, two small dings to left perimeter of rear, good engraving detail, front and rear open a bit short of 90 degrees; tight bow thinned at top, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: APW - Illinois, Miller adjusted, 18S, heavy Englehart & Son 18K original HC with beautiful 1885 presentation on gold cuvette, transitional SW-LS retaining KW square, WE-SSD, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#301026. Gross weight of assembled watch 104.8 dwt (163.0 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, mint mvt condition overall; dial perfect; hands mint; case shows very little wear, few MFS, one dent on front cover shoulder near lever, crisp full detail of girl crossing bridge, the finest detail only starting to fade along shoulder bevels; gold bow tight but quite thinned at center, reflecting the shape of the bale that wore against it, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.

CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good poise, near mint mvt condition overall; dial perfect; hands in near mint blue; original heavy gauge case shows very little wear, few MFS, one front cover dent, hardly any other dings; bow tight, some central wear, crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal. Impressive engraving.
