[2] Grade 260, 21J, hands are missing but posts for hands are present, nickel damascene, s#350288, NR, balance overbanked, mainspring likely broken, overhaul needed, missing both case screws, case not slotted for lever-set access so setting function untested as lever can not be pulled out; an uncommon watch, the total production of the Grade 260 is believed to be approximately 1450 made per Eric Unselt's seth thomas website.

DESCRIPTION: APW - seth thomas, Grade 282, 17J, 18S, nickel OF display recase, white enamel SS impressed dial, SW-LS, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#211934. An attractive and scarce to rare movement, the total production of the Grade 282 is believed to be approximately 400 made per Eric Unselt's excellent seth thomas website.
CONDITION: Mvt: Started ticking sluggishly when wound but mainspring likely broken and is slipping audibly with every several turns of the crown, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good two-tone color, mild oxide to regulator spring, balance jewel setting with a mismatched screw; dial with scattered hls, patched edge chip at 9:30; case shows little wear, dark tarnish adjacent crystals, some scattered nicks; tight bow, crown shows little wear; glass crystals with some small edge nicks.

An attractive and scarce movement, the total production of the Grade 282 is believed to be approximately 400 made per Eric Unselt's excellent seth thomas website.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent two-tone color, plates with scattered micro-fine scratches, few specks of oxide to steelwork; dial with few faint hls and micro-fine scratches, few negligible edge nicks under bezel; fine hands with minor oxide, minute with multiple bends along stem, slight dip to second-hand stem at base; case rear bezel is mismatched to band and front bezel indicating that rear bezel was taken from another case to make the present case into a display style case, case shows light wear, ding to band near 10, partial rings and splotches of finish loss; tight bow with some finish loss, crown shows light wear and has some excess up/down play; good glass front crystal, missing rear crystal.
