DESCRIPTION: APW - Rockford, 11J, 18S, HC model mvt in coin silver reversible style (cabriolet) recase by North western watch Case Co with E.A. Muckle's patent rotating inner ring design that allows for display in either HC or OF style, gold hinges, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#406564.
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, ticks only with excess pressure applied to crown, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, toning and scattered micro-fine scratches to plates, minor oxide to regulator assembly; dial with few faint hls scattered to center and upper portion, hand rub within seconds-register; fine hands of mismatched colors, minute and seconds-hand are blue, hour hand is black; case bezel does not sit fully flush when closed leaving a thin gap at lower sides, case shows substantial wear, marring and a small metal tear along edge of lid which is only exposed when in HC orientation, few dents to lid that is rear when in OF style, dent to lower-left bezel, few tiny nicks to band, substantially reduced engraving detail with only some light remains of engraving to lid that is rear when in OF style; tight bow, crown shows ample wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: APW - Rockford, Grade 69, 11J, 18S, HC model mvt in coin silver reversible style (cabriolet) recase by North western watch Case Co with E.A. Muckle's patent rotating inner ring design that allows for display in either HC or OF style, attractive floral engraving to lid on rotating ring, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#258215. From the collection of Dr. Robert Restuccia.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some toning and few scattered fine scratches to plates, very minor oxide to regulator assembly; dial with two faint hls at 12:30, very faint hl at 6, edge chip mostly under bezel at setting lever, scattered edge flakes under bezel; fine hands; case lift spring is weak needing assistance to open fully, case shows medium wear and an attractive acquired patina to all surfaces that are exposed when in open face orientation, lid which is only exposed when in hunting case orientation shows very little wear, this difference in wear patterns indicates that this watch spent the great majority of its working life being carried in open face style, few dents and scattered pinprick nicks to latched exterior lid of case, scattered pinprick nicks to lid with floral engraving, largely reduced engine turning and engraving detail to surface exposed when in open face orientation, surface with floral detail with excellent engraving detail; bow pivots freely, crown shows light wear; missing crystal.

DESCRIPTION: APW - Rockford, 9-11J, Model 2, 18S, coin silver reversible style (cabriolet) original case by North western watch Case Co with E.A. Muckle's patent rotating inner ring design that allows for display in either HC or OF style, white enamel SS impressed dial, transitional style SW-LS with retained KW arbor, gilt mvt, s#102270.
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, crown is not engaging either winding or setting mechanism, balance is gummy and mvt has oil excess visible on plate surface below balance, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, one mismatched case screw; dial with some light hls; fine hands, minute with some finish loss and bends, hour and minute hands are blue, seconds-hand is plum colored; case latch is not depressing with crown which is causing the latch released lid to have to be snapped open and closed, case shows ample wear and largely reduced engraving detail to all surfaces that are exposed when in OF orientation, lid which is only exposed when in HC orientation shows little wear and excellent engraving detail, these differences in wear to respective portions of the case are indicative that this watch spent most of its working life being carried as an open face style, case with a few mild dings; bow pivots freely with some play within pendant sockets and with thinning at its top, crown shows ample wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: PW lot (2) Dan Patch stop watch and a Swiss imitation - [1] New England Watch Co, Dan Patch stop watch, 7J, 16S, gold-filled OF original case with engraving on rear of the famous race horse above the marking "Dan Patch 1:55" commemorating his record mile time, case shows little wear with good engraving detail, white enamel dial with 1/5 second divisions for sweep hand, dial with some hls and edge flakes, SW-SS, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#17172, ticking, chronograph is not functioning properly, it engages but does not run correctly. [2] Swiss imitation of a Waltham Model 1857, signed "Great western watch Co," likely 11J, 18S, HC is marked "AWCo" and with a lion hallmark and case has a ten-sided band and a boar engraved on the front cover, case shows little wear but is missing the pusher on the pendant, white enamel dial with some hls, bent hands, gilt mvt, s#42640, NR, balance gummy, overhaul needed.
CONDITION: Multiple lots sold as-is, no further condition report available.

DESCRIPTION: APW - western watch Co, Chicago, 18S, nickel alloy OF original case with Dueber paper in back, KWKS, WED, lever escapement, 7J, gilt mvt marked "W W Co, Chicago," s#29331. Fossette Collection. Listed as a four-star rarity in the Complete Guide, which also notes that Albert Trotter purchased unfinished watches from California Watch Co, and after finishing them, moved to Chicago where he established the present company with Paul Cornell and others, only to produce a handful of watches in this new style, reckoned to be about 25 to 50 ever made.
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent mvt condition overall; dial with fracture at center, edge roughness; hands fine, mixed; case shows little wear, few MFS, no dents or dings; bow tight, unworn; good glass crystal.
